Robert T. Cunningham

Robert T. Cunningham has been with Cunningham Bounds, LLC since he was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1975. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of South Alabama in 1973. He then received his Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Florida in 1975.

Mr. Cunningham served in the Marine Corps from 1965 until 1970. He earned a number of decorations for his exemplary military service including the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart, 29 Air Medals, and the Combat Action Ribbon.

Joseph M. Brown, Jr.

Joseph M. Brown, Jr. graduated magna cum laude from Samford University with a Bachelor's degree in History in 1972, and obtained his Juris Doctorate with honors from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 1977. Mr. Brown served in the Air Force as a pilot from 1972 until 1979.

Gregory B. Breedlove

After receiving a B.S. from Auburn University, Gregory B. Breedlove earned his law degree with high honors from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 1979. While in law school, Mr. Breedlove was an active member of the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Board and an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy.

In 1979, Mr. Breedlove gained admission to the State Bar and served as law clerk to the Honorable James H. Hancock, a United States District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama. He joined Cunningham Bounds, LLC in 1981.

Toby D. Brown

A native of Mobile, Alabama, Toby D. Brown graduated cum laude from the University of South Alabama School of Business where he received numerous undergraduate honors. He then received his law degree from the University of Alabama.

Mr. Brown is an active member of the community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Mobile Metropolitan YMCA and on various boards at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church. He also devotes time to coaching youth sports.

David S. Cain, Jr.

Raised in Jasper, Alabama, David S. Cain, Jr., graduated from Auburn University with numerous honors.  He earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama’s School of Law in 2003.

During law school, Mr. Cain was a Hugo Black Scholar, selected to join the Order of the Coif and the Order of Barristers, and served as Senior Editor for the Alabama Law Review.  He participated in various legal advocacy competitions, and was a finalist in the John A. Campbell Moot Court Competition, receiving the Reuben H. Wright award for best advocate.

Robert L. Mitchell

Robert L. Mitchell was born and raised in Mobile.  After graduating from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in English, Mr. Mitchell spent a year teaching school in London.

After returning to the U.S., Mr. Mitchell attended the University of Alabama School of Law and received his law degree magna cum laude in just over two years.  During law school, he was selected to be a Hugo Black Scholar, served as the senior editor for the Alabama Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

J. Brian Duncan, Jr.

J.  Brian Duncan, Jr. graduated from Texas Tech University in 2002 and then received a law degree with honors from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 2008.  While in law school, he was a member of the Cumberland Law Review, Moot Court Board, the National Moot Court Team, and the National Trial Team.

In addition, Mr. Duncan received a number of individual awards including a Best Advocate Award in the American Bar Association’s Regional Appellate Court Competition and the Overall Best Advocate Award in the Lone Star National Trial Competition.  He was inducted into the Order of Barristers and received a Scholar of Merit award for superior performance in medical liability.

Lucy E. Tufts

Lucy E.  Tufts, an Alabama native and a Truman Scholarship recipient, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2004.  In 2008, she earned her law degree with high honors from Georgetown University Law Center, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif upon graduation.  While in law school, she placed first in the William W. Greenhalgh Mock Trial competition, was Director of Training on the Barristers' Council Trial Advocacy Board, and earned one of four spots on Georgetown’s National Trial team.

Ms. Tufts is committed to giving back to the communities in which she works and lives. She currently provides legal representation on a pro bono basis through the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Mobile.

Keith Harvey

Keith Harvey obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Alabama where he also received an award for Scholastic Excellence in Criminal Justice. He served as a police officer for more than twenty years and received numerous awards while in law enforcement. As a police officer, Mr. Harvey was assigned to the Patrol Division, the Traffic/Motor Unit, Traffic Accident Investigation Detail, Traffic Homicide Investigations and DUI Enforcement Detail. In addition, he received hundreds of hours of training in Interviewing and Interrogating, Standardized D.U.I. Field Sobriety Testing, At Scene Traffic Accident Investigation, Traffic Homicide Investigation and Traffic Accident Reconstruction. He was also a certified instructor in Accident Investigation, Report Writing, and Traffic Direction and Control.

James Lyons

James Lyons received an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Faulkner State Community College and then obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Faulkner University. He has worked in the area of law enforcement for over 26 years while 23 of those years was spent working for the Alabama Department of Public Safety (DPS). During his tenure with the DPS, Mr. Lyons served as a State Trooper for 6 years and conducted hundreds of traffic accident and driver license fraud investigations. In addition to working in the Highway Patrol Division, he also worked in the Driver License and Alabama Bureau Investigation Divisions. He has completed numerous training courses including the DPS Commercial Driver License Examiner course and the Drug Enforcement Administration Basic Narcotics Investigators course.

Glenn Garside

Glenn Garside earned an associate degree summa cum laude in Criminal Justice from Bishop State Community College. He served as a police officer with the Mobile Police Department for over seventeen years and received numerous promotions, which included being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. While with the Police Department, Mr. Garside was assigned to the Patrol Division, the Homicide Division, the Narcotics and Vice Unit, the Robbery Unit and Traffic Accident Investigations. He is certified as an Investigator for the State of Alabama by the University of Alabama, is a P.O.S.T. Certified Instructor in Death Investigations and in Interview and Interrogations, and has served as an Instructor for the Mobile Police Department in the field of Search and Seizure.
